Ocean City senior quarterback Vinnie Djukanovic separated his shoulder early in the Raiders' second scrimmage of the pre-season today against Holy Spirit.

 

Djukanovic engineered a nice drive for OCHS before going down hard on his shoulder. This was to be his first year as starting QB. He had been a key player on defense last year while battling a back injury and filled in at quarterback as a sophomore.

 

Further tests will determine the seriousness of the injury and the recovery time, which could be anywhere from two weeks to two months.

 

Ocean City opens its season in two weeks at Hammonton. The Raiders have one more scrimmage next Friday at Lower Cape May.
