Brett Myers gave up two home runs in the ninth inning to lose an important game to the San Diego Padres on Saturday night. Then, during a post game meeting with the press, exploded in a screaming match with Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Most people in the South Jersey area know Carchidi as a successful writer covering high school sports. But he has been covering the Phillies for more than 30 years, the last 21 for the Inquirer.
