Another OCHS Quarterback Injured
Just a few days after senior Vinnie Djukanovic, Ocean City High School's probable starting quarterback, separated his shoulder, one of the other two QBs on the team went down at practice with a probable ankle or foot sprain.
Casey Curran, who had an excellent freshmen season in 2006, was the player injured. It is too soon for an accurate evaluation of his injury.
Junior Sean Feeney, who started two varsity games at QB last year, was the likely starter in Friday afternoon's scrimmage at Lower Cape May. He now may take all the snaps in that final pre-season game.
Ocean City opens its season at Hammonton on Sept. 7.
More about the injuries to Djukanovic and Curran may be available in your next edition of The Gazettes of Ocean City and Upper Township.
