Paul LeFever To Retire As OCHS Athletics Director
Paul LeFever will be stepping down as Director of Athletics at Ocean City High School, possibly as soon as Jan. 1. The longtime OCHS administrator has filed his letter of resignation with the intention of retiring and it is expected to be formally accepted by the Board of Education on Nov. 14.
LeFever took over from Dixie Howell in 1986 and in the years since Ocean City has had 15 state championships, 38 South Jersey titles and 71 conference championships won by its sports teams.
LeFever becomes the fifth change among Cape-Atlantic League area athletics directors. Chris Armstrong replaced Dr. Jerry France at Wildwood, Keith Gorman replaced Lee Westenberger at Holy Spirit, Don Robbins replaced Robin Daplyn at Vineland and Brian Currie replaced Robbins at Oakcrest.
