Ocean City Boys Rally Past Lower Cape May
Ocean City rallied past Lower Cape May on the strength of a 24-8 third quarter to defeat the Tigers, 52-46, tonight. The win lifted OCHS to 8-8 on the season. The Raiders must beat either Hammonton (tomorrow night) or Vineland (Thursday) to qualify for the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament.
Bud Johnson, who finished with a team-high 18 points, sparked the rally. A pair of slam dunks by Chris Harris highlighted the Ocean City effort. And a magnificent pass from John Fogarty, from the floor, to Harris for a layup was also a crowd pleaser.
Harris scored 15 points while Fogarty had 5 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Ocean City played without junior Matt Whitworth, who was home battling an allergic reaction to medicine.
